On April 26, 10 students and doctors from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito came to our Miraflores Community Centre to help them with their dental problems

The students diagnosed adults and children and created 120 medical cards. 85 children of the Juan Amador Elementary School were attended along with members of the community of Miraflores.

The students were kind and affectionate with adults and children. The patients were motivated about showing their teeth to the students and doctors and also to hear the advises about how to take care of their teeth.

Adults and children were waiting in line to be attended. There was a perfect organization, every student had his patient, so people in the community didn´t have to wait too long to be attended. In two hours students and doctors from the Universidad San Francisco, were able to attend 120 people.

The Dean of the University's Dental School, Fernando Sandoval, was very satisfied with the work of students and also with the results of the diagnosis, which was very useful for our centre and to our patients because they will be able to control and prevent future problems.  Main problems were cavities, endodontic problems and jaw problems.

After working, the Dean with the students were offered a typical lunch at Miraflores that our personnel cooked with the direction of Estefania Sandoval, Director of the Centre.

A month later, on May 29, 30 specialized doctors and students came to heal 75 people of the 120 they diagnosed.  With professionalism and organization they were able to heal all patients in two hours. There were different rooms for different specializations, so they were able to heal all patients.  The community of Miraflores is very satisfied, as they got addressed many dental problems.  Children said that doctors and students were very kind and they want them to come back.
