We empower and inspire families through caring programs that address physical, emotional and mental needs helping them achieve sustainable change on their path to get out of extreme poverty.

our Story

The Martha Estrella Foundation was established in 2004 with the mission to continue the legacy of Martha Estrella, an inspirational leader who dedicated her entire life to mentor, develop and support children and families in need; touching the life of thousands of people in the City of Machachi and the surrounding rural communities.

Martha passed away when she was 56 years old after battling cancer, but her legacy and positive memories continue inspiring joy and hope!

our contribution

PROJECT MIRAFLORES

2008-2014

Built and operated an integrated community center with childcare, medical care, dental care, and eldery care services for more than 100 families living in the rural community of Miraflores, 20 miles south of Quito.

JUAN AMADOR SCHOOL

2008-2009

Total renovation of elementary school that provides K-6 grade education to 85 children in the community of Miraflores. Included a new computer lab, cafeteria, classrooms and ergonomic furniture for all the classrooms.

PROJECT CALDERON

2010-2012

Administered and operated eight childcare centers in marginal communities around Quito, providing food and care to more than 1,000 children between 0 to 6 years of age.

MEDIATION CENTER

2015-Present

Provide conflict resolution and mediation for individual disputes, minimizing the needs of law suits. Legally authorized by the National Judiciary Council, with offices in Quito and Machachi, Ecuador.
